Brief description

Brief description

This is an early, relatively junior role at a Greylock-backed early stage security-education company. Instead of focusing on technical vulnerabilities, they're focused on educating and guiding employees to avoid human security weaknesses (e.g. social engineering).

You'll be a founding member of their team, with a lot of opportunity to interact with customers, influence the direction of the product, and solve product problems in a low-structure, high-autonomy environment. You'll design and ship features for their front-end based on customer feedback, incuding a video player, dashboards, reporting, and tools for security teams. You'll need to be able to handle these tasks end to end, including setting up a DB, building the APi to access it, building the user-facing front-end, and shipping it to production.

Their stack is a Python/Django back-end and a React front-end.

What they're looking for

[Required]

  • OK with in-office work 3 days a week in San Francisco

  • 1+ year of experience that includes (a) creating a front-end, (b) creating the APIs it needs to consume on the back end, and (c) setting up a DB.

  • Actively want to work in a high-paced startup environment

  • US work authorization (can transfer e.g. H1Bs but not sponsor them)

[Nice-to-have]

  • Demonstrable background in fast-paced environments

  • Experience with Typescript

  • Experience with GraphQL

  • Design skills (they do have an in-house designer, but being able to contribute or make small decisions would be a plus)

What they're offering

  • 140-160k cash salary, plus substantial early-stage equity.

  • Work with a team from Meta, Twitter, Flexport, Waterloo, Columbia, Berkeley, Purdue, CMU, Stanford, and USC.

  • A large and lucrative market with lots of room for growth (social engineering targets large enterprises in every market)

Hiring process

  • Interview with us (otherbranch)

  • Culture-fit call

  • Final onsite
